Queen's Birthday Honours

Monday June 1, 2009

Congratulations to our Life Member, Bob Murdoch on being honoured as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in today’s Queen’s Birthday List.

Bob’s honour relates to his long-serving work in the engineering and manufacturing sectors, working to improve productivity and innovation. He has also done lots of wonderful work for the Rotary Club of Karori, most recently driving the improvements in facilities at Karori Park. Those who work beside Bob can attest the importance he has placed on having the Karori Cricket Club improve its standing in every way. And in the 2008/09 season, Bob saw the visionary work he has lead bear fruit. Keep at it Bob.

Also named in the List is our good friend City Councillor John Morrison, a well known “amateur cricketer”, and a Trustee of Basin Reserve Trust. John may be an Onslow CC man, but he is very supportive of Karori Park, and our Club.

Congratulations to both.
