KCC WINS WELLINGTON ONE DAY FINAL , AND GETS A NEW “BLACK CAP”.

Life Members, Vice Presidents, Supporters and friends of Karori Cricket Club join me in our good wishes to every member of the Club’s Senior Squad for the magnificent victory in the One Day Final played yesterday at the Petone Rec.
Players for K-Town from all ages feel a real glow of pride for our Senior Team, and want to join them in feeling “on top of the world”, after decisively beating Easts in the weather affected match .The team did everything so very well. Captaincy by Simon Baker, fielding, bowling and batting, ethics. Just a first class display.
Good luck guys in the Pearce Cup championship, and the end of season NZ club champions tournament in Auckland.
Commiserations to our Hazlett Trophy team which met Petone Riverside in the other One Day Final yesterday.
Congratulations to Andy Mckay of KCC and the Wellington FireBirds cricket teams on his selection in the New Zealand BlackCaps squad just announced. He joins an illustrious list of Karori names who have played for their country. Well done Andy after a very good set of performances for the FireBirds. You deserve every success !!
